  6. Motor vehicle reports and/or other demographic information.

Please Note: Health information is used only for underwriting purposes, or administering a claim, or other insurance functions provided on behalf of the insured, unless otherwise permitted by the insured or applicable law.

II. Sharing of Information

We may share Personal Information, collected as disclosed in Section I above, solely to service your clients’ transactions and to support our business functions. In that capacity we may share such personal information, with the following among others:

  1. Brokerage firms
  2. Insurance companies
  3. Service providers
  4. Administrators

III. Policies and Procedures to Protect Information

Morstan Plus restricts access to nonpublic personal information to those employees or service providers who need the information to provide products or services. The policies and procedures used by Morstan Plus are designed to: (i) ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information, (ii) protect against any reasonably anticipated threats and or hazards to the security and integrity of customer records and information; and (iii) protect against unauthorized access to, and use of customer records or information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer.

A. Physical Records

  1. Non-public personal information that is maintained by MorstanPlus in hard copy is safeguarded in full compliance with all applicable law.

B. Information Systems

  1. Internal systems are regulated to ensure that only authorized Morstan Plus employees can access the information contained in the system;
  2. Our website (www.morstanplus.com and additional content-related websites), and certain other electronic files are encrypted;
  3. Systems and procedures are in place to provide warnings of possible attacks or intrusions into information systems.

C. Employees

  1. Employees receive training regarding Morstan Plus’ Privacy Policy and the issuance of the privacy notice.
  2. Employees are required to execute an acknowledgement form following review of Morstan Plus’ Privacy Policy.

D. Brokers/Agents/Third Party Service Providers

  1. Individuals, companies and other entities that access products and services from Morstan Plus must agree to safeguard nonpublic personal information about customers pursuant to Morstan Plus’ Privacy Policy.
  2. Third party service providers must agree to safeguard customers’ nonpublic personal information pursuant to Morstan Plus’ Privacy Policy.

IV. Cookies

Morstan Plus does NOT utilize Cookies in any way.

V. Security

Morstan Plus attaches the highest importance to security. We want all users of our Site to be confident in the security of the site and the safety of all transactions undertaken on this Site. The numerous security features of this Site include:

  1. 128 bit SSL encryption: Encryption is the scrambling of information for transmission back and forth between two points. This technology allows for secure transmittal on the Internet by encoding the data using a mathematical formula that scrambles the data. A key is then required to decode the transmitted data ;
  2. Session Timeouts: For added protection, all web sessions will expire after 20 minutes of inactivity. This means that after 20 minutes of inactivity you will have to re-enter your user name and password in order to continue using the Site.

Any and all brokers, agents, or other users of this site, are expected to comply with all legal obligations prior to providing any client information to Morstan Plus. In entering and utilizing this site, the user is representing to Morstan Plus that prior to furnishing any client information to Morstan Plus, the client has been provided with all legal disclosures including but not limited to Privacy Disclosures.

IN NO EVENT SHALL MORSTAN PLUS NOR ANY THIRD PARTY CARRIERS MENTIONED AT THIS SITE BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIMS OR DAMAGES, SPECIAL, DIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, OR OTHERWISE, THAT MIGHT RESULT FROM ANY CLIENT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO MORSTAN PLUS. THIS INCLUDES INFORMATION PROVIDED TO MORSTAN PLUS VIA THIS SITE AND INFORMATION PROVIDED TO MORSTAN PLUS THROUGH ANY OTHER MEANS.   4. Creditworthiness and credit history;
  5. Criminal record;
  6. Medical information, such as health background and health status; and
  7. Broker license number and expiration date.


INFORMATION SHARED

  1. We will seek to reasonably verify that any one requesting information about you, your clients’ or your clients’ relationship with us is entitled to such information. For example, we may give information to heirs/beneficiaries concerning the existence and amount of life insurance and annuity contracts following receipt of notice of the death of an insured or an annuitant;
  2. We require any organization that provides assistance to us in administering or reinsuring contracts or providing services on our behalf to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and not use such information for any other purpose;
  3. We do not allow non-affiliates to offer their products and services without our consent; and

The law does permit us to share information about agent, brokers, or your clients with our affiliates, insurance companies and insurance service providers.
If we change our privacy practices, we will provide you with notification as required by applicable law.
